Virtue Poker has signed poker hall of famer Phil Ivey as a strategic advisor as the cryptocurrency poker room prepares for a launch in the fall of 2018.
Virtue Poker, a new cryptocurrency online poker website that is based on blockchain technology is preparing to enter the competitive online poker industry in the fall of 2018 and is making sure that it does everything it can to prepare itself for a successful launch. The company recently announced that it had signed Poker Hall of Famer (PHoF) Phil Ivey who will serve as an advisor to the new online poker room.
Ivey had earlier expressed interest in the cryptocurrency market and its impact on the online poker industry and this partnership with Virtue Poker gives the poker pro an opportunity to work with an online poker cryptocurrency room and grow with the industry. Ivey will act as a strategic advisor to the Virtue Poker management team and help them with the dos and donts of launching a new poker room.
Ivey has kept a rather low profile on the poker circuit in America during the last 4 years as he has been battling a couple of high profile lawsuits with the Borgata Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City and Crawfords Club in London, England over allegations regarding using ‘edge sorting’ or counting cards in order to gain an advantage of the two establishments and win millions of dollars. Ivey has preferred to play the Asian poker scene but still has a number a large number of contacts in the United States that will help him introduce Virtue Poker to key stakeholders and help establish the new brand.
